Your First Visit
MAGOS CHIROPRACTIC
Your First Visit at our Flemington Office
New patients often tell us how “comfortable and friendly” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer the finest chiropractic care in comfortable surroundings.
Make Yourself at Home
Conveniently located on Main Street, you’ll find plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office and we’ll answer any questions you may have. If you’ve already completed your initial paperwork, great! If not, after doing so we’ll likely show you a short 5-minute video and then you’ll meet Dr. Magos..
We Explain Everything First
The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem. Our patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!
What We Look For
Our examination procedures are geared toward detection and correction of spinal misalignments known as “Vertebral Subluxation” . Because the nervous system controls every aspect of our body, the procedures we use are specifically selected to evaluate your spine and nervous system. In this way we can determine if a spinal condition may be causing your problem.
Spinal X-rays
The last step, depending on your age and situation, may be spinal x-rays. X-rays, which can be taken on the premises, give us important information including the position of the spinal bones, the quality of the spine, and any conditions that may prevent safely adjusting the spine. X-rays also tell us the relative length of time subluxations may have been involved in your spine. There are, however, many reasons why we would not take x-rays on certain patients including pregnancy, possible pregnancy, breastfeeding, many young children, recent usable spinal x-rays, and other various situations.
What the Examination Tells Us
The results of your examination help us scientifically understand your condition and what processes may be going on in your spine. Based on this information we can make a more accurate determination of the type of adjustments that may be necessary to correct any spinal condition as well as help determine the frequency of any additional care.
Report of Findings
After the examination, Dr. Magos will explain all the results at your Report of Findings and give you a care plan outlining what is necessary to correct the problem. It is also at this report that any special instructions will be given in order to obtain the best and fastest possible results.
Your First Adjustment
After a thorough explanation of what will be taking place, your first adjustment will be slowly and carefully given on your first visit.
Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on your first visit, typical subsequent office visits takes about 10 minutes with no appointments needed during our “adjusting hours.”
Our office has only one goal…to help you get better!
